Eyes of Emeralds
With a gleaming sparkle
Your eyes captivate me
They are shiny emeralds
Islands in seas of tranquility
I can only imagine
All the sights they have seen
From your everyday life
To the places you’ve been
The tears they have shed
Endless streams of sorrow
From times of misery
Bringing hope for tomorrow
Two sparkling stars in the night sky
Hoping for the chance to be gazed on
To never feel alone again
Waiting for that one special person
In your radiant green eyes
And the glow that I see
From your heart and soul
Hold so much power over me
